Troop 1 has been chartered since 1911. This is a very active troop with a strong commitment to community, a rich history of tradition and the desire for new adventures. Troop activities center on weekly meetings where Scout skills are taught and practiced and where merit badges and rank advancements are worked on. These skills are then applied in the outdoors. Weekend and weeklong campouts have included hiking, high adventure canoeing, winter camping, and summer camp. The Troop also participates in community service projects to give back to the community and promote the troop to the public.
